Jon Buckley Memorial Garden-

600 N.E. Water St. Behind the Riverplex Recreational Center, Peoria IL 61603

Yolanda Wallace lost her son, Jon Buckley, to gun violence in 2006.  At that time, Yolanda began working tirelessly to help solve her son’s murder by putting up posters of her son in an effort to find out who killed him. Those efforts led to the “Who Killed Me?” poster campaign (WKM) in 2012 in partnership with the Peoria Police Department to give faces to the victims of unsolved murders. That same year, the Jon Buckley Memorial Garden (JBMG) was created at 600 N.E. Water Street in Peoria. This is a space where survivors gather and spend time reflecting and healing. Her purpose through her pain, to help others.

*A partnership between the Peoria Park District and the Survivors of Tragedies.

* All programing is done by Mother War On Violence Ministry.
